Von der Art her habe ich so etwas von Herma</a< gefunden, ich habe jedoch bei Thalia mal etwas ähnliches gesehen, die Farbauswahl der Bücher + der passenden Kartons hat mir da besser gefallen, ich hab mir allerdings die Marke nicht gemerkt und damals auch nicht darauf geachtet, ob sich der Karton für Fotos eignet. Es gab die Bücher in vielen pastellfarben, wenn ich mich recht erinnere gab es von der gleichen Firma auch noch Zeitschriftenordner, Kisten und sowas. I am a San Francisco Bay Area resident and local Deutschophile, and I just found out that our beloved Berlin and Beyond Film Festival, the annual German film festival put on by our local branch of the Goethe Institute, has been pushed back from its traditional January date to Fall of 2010!

Naturally, many of us German enthusiasts are VERY dissapointed. We discover many good and sometimes great films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland that we never would've known about if not for the festival. Some of us are thinking about organizing our own mini-festival of some of our fave and perhaps not so well known German films. I am posting this because I'd like to hear your lists of beloved Germanish films, be they from Deutschland, Austria, or Switzerland.

Especially let us know about lesser known gems, those films that you think more people should see or be aware of, especially people outside of German speaking countries. We've all seen the usual suspects like Das Boot, Run Lola Run and The Lives of Others. (usw...) Some of the more memorable Films I got around to checking out through this festival were Whole Train, Revanche (from Austria,) Der Freund (from Switzerland,) also Die Welle and 12 Winters. Those were just the films I saw. I know I've probably missed some other gems.

Then again, he surpasses in popularity against Angela Merkel and he has a law degree. Law and Economics? Hmm. Could someone explain to me? I obviously know very little about German politics!

Am Donnerstag gibt es wieder welche für 499,- im Angebot, und ich überlege, mir einen zu kaufen (sofern ich einen abkriege). Von den Spezifikationen reicht mir das Ding allemal, ich würde nur gerne mal hören, wie die sich im Langzeittest so machen. So there is the final update... Over the past day we have processed around 11 million jobs out of the 12 million that were in queue at that time. Please bear in mind that over this past day, more jobs for notifications are also created. So while the queue has been dropping, we are still not fully caught up at this point, due to backlog and new jobs. We have roughly 3 million jobs still pending that involve the notification system in some manner. We had hoped we could have fully cleared the queue in a day, but unfortunately we can't clear it too quickly, since we need the rest of the site to operate normally. From our current perspective on the amount of jobs that are left in queue, and how many it has processed thus far, we believe it will take around another 8 - 12 hours to process everything.

The Wagner apple wine tavern in Frankfurt's Sachsenhausen district has been in the family for 3 generations. Susanne Rudorf was there to reveal the secret of a Frankfurt specialty to Indian IT specialist Prabhanjan Gadela: Green Sauce with Egg, the vegetarian variant of the classic dish in which the Frankfurt green sauce is typically served with boiled beef. The poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe loved it so much that he had his mother send the recipe so that he could still enjoy his favorite dish after moving to faraway Weimar. The secret lies in the freshness of the ingredients - which include seven different herbs.

Take 500 g herbs consisting of:
Parsley, Chives, Chervil, Sorrel, Dill, Borage, and Cress.

Wash the herbs and chop finely. Place in a large bowl. Add 500 g sour cream. Add 1 tbsp mayonnaise (or yoghurt for those who prefer a lighter sauce), 1 tbsp. mustard, 1 tbsp. vinegar. Stir. Add salt, sugar and pepper to taste.

Hard-boil, cool and peel the eggs. Cut in half and arrange on the green sauce. Serve with fried or boiled potatoes. Only the potatoes should be warm. The green sauce and the eggs are eaten cold.

Die Schnitte sollten halbwegs einfach sein, ich bin keine gute Näherin, kenn mich nur ein wenig aus. Meine Mama kann zumindest so raffen und Reißverschlüsse nähen.
